(INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – June 2, 2008) – Q3 Innovations is pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Wieland to Vice President of Sales.  Brian Eddy, CEO, said “Sarah has made remarkable progress since joining Q3 Innovations a little over a year ago.  She will now be in charge of worldwide sales of all of our product lines, and will lead our continued expansion into multiple new markets”.  Sarah, a graduate of Oelwein High School, joined Q3 Innovations in the Spring of 2007 as a Sales Associate and then became Assistant VP of Sales in the Fall of 2007.  Sarah obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Iowa in 1999.  Prior to joining Q3 Innovations, Sarah gained sales and account management experience with Integrated DNA Technologies.  Sarah and her husband, Jeremy, have two children, Matt and Tyler and reside in Urbana.

In addition, Q3 Innovations is pleased to announce the hiring of two more full-time employees to its Independence office.  Travis Ferris, a graduate of Columbus High School in Waterloo, Iowa, joins Q3 as a full-time Sales Associate where he will be working with and under the direction of Sarah Wieland, Vice President of Sales, on managing current accounts, as well as expanding Q3’s market presence domestically and internationally. Travis obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Iowa State University in 2006.  Prior to joining Q3 Innovations, Travis gained his sales and account management experience while working full-time for Océ North America in Chicago, Illinois (2006-2008). Travis and his fiancé have just recently moved back to Iowa from Chicago, where they have been for the past two years.

Q3 Innovations is also pleased to announce the hiring of Janet Kress, a graduate of East Buchanan High School.  Janet joins Q3 as a full-time Staff Accountant where she will work with Tanya Greiner, CFO, on a variety of financial tasks.  Janet obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Mount Mercy College in 1998.  Prior to joining Q3 Innovations, Janet gained her accounting experience while working part-time for Speede Shop in Winthrop (2004-2008), Fawcett’s Inc (2002-2008), and Aegon in Cedar Rapids (2000-2002).  Janet and her husband, Mark, have three children; Dylan, Kayla, and Emma and have lived in Winthrop since 2003.
