(INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – November 9, 2007) - Q3 Innovations, LLC announced today the release of its new, patented, AlcoHAWK PT500 digital breath alcohol screener – the first AlcoHAWK model to incorporate an electrochemical fuel-cell sensor.

As the most advanced model in the line, the handheld AlcoHAWK PT500 incorporates the PT Core™ electrochemical fuel-cell sensor to quickly and accurately screen for the presence of alcohol from .000% up to .400% BAC. The PT Core™ electrochemical fuel-cell sensor is more sensitive to testing specifically for alcohol. As a result, the AlcoHAWK PT500 helps eliminate false positives that can result with traditional semi-conductor units when testing individuals containing high levels of ketones, which are often found in individuals with diabetes or someone on a fad diet.

The AlcoHAWK PT500 features an orange back-lit LCD display, a temperature display (adjustable between Fahrenheit and Celsius), a warning level indicator, a pressure scan sensor and automatic pump. In addition, the AlcoHAWK PT500 is the first AlcoHAWK model with advance menu options that allow the user to adjust the blowing time for a breath sample to offer greater flexibility when testing individuals with differing breath-sample capacities. The AlcoHAWK PT500 is also designed for international use in mind by giving users the ability to convert the unit of measure between %BAC (U.S.A), g/L, or ‰BAC.

“We recognized the need for a professional, yet affordable breath alcohol tester featuring an electrochemical fuel-cell sensor,” said Brian C. Eddy, CEO of Q3 Innovations. “The AlcoHAWK PT500 gives law enforcement, schools, clinics and others the ability to obtain fuel-cell accuracy, reliability and durability for professional, non-regulated alcohol testing environments at a remarkable retail price point of $299.99”, said Eddy.

The AlcoHAWK PT500 (MSRP, $299.99) comes in a professional hard case with foam padding, 50 individually-wrapped mouthpieces, two AA batteries, the owner’s manual, a quick start guide and a one-year warranty. For more information, visit www.q3i.com.

Q3 Innovations, LLC, a privately held company that began operations in 1999, is a leading designer, developer, and distributor of innovative personal safety and monitoring products. Their product lineup includes the AlcoHAWK® digital breath alcohol detectors, the ThermoHAWK infrared thermometers, the UVHAWK ultraviolet light meters and the newest line of RadarHAWK radar/laser detectors. Q3 Innovations distributes products worldwide from Independence, Iowa and their products are retailed in major outlets such as The Sharper Image, Walgreen Drug, Sam’s Club, Skymall and Target.com.

Q3 Innovations featured the AlcoHAWK® digital alcohol breathalyzers at the 35th RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) as riders across America stayed overnight in Independence. Q3 provided breathalyzer tests, can koozies, and t-shirts at their booth across from the beverage garden in Teacher’s Park. One team went as far as naming themselves TEAM ALCOHAWK, though not affiliated with Q3, and proudly advertised it on their support bus as they crossed Iowa.

(INDEPENDENCE, Iowa-April 2007) – Q3 Innovations, LLC, manufacturer of the AlcoHAWK® digital alcohol breathalyzers, ThermoHAWK™ touchless thermometers, and the UV HAWK™ measures ultraviolet (UV) light, announces the release of the RadarHAWK™ line of radar/laser detectors.

The ultra compact RadarHAWKs™ combine state-of-the-art technology with simplicity.  The display screens are extra bright allowing for day and night time use.  They also provide text messages on the display screens that are easy to understand and follow.  Not only are these compact devices user-friendly, but they also have the option to go wireless.  These rechargeable devices can utilize the cord for enhanced POP mode detection.

The RadarHAWK™ radar/laser detectors have many cutting edge technologies which include:

  • Smart Alert Filter. This feature eliminates unnecessary or false alert tones without eliminating sensitivity.
  • Long Range Protection. By using a bi-laminar antenna construction along with complex transistor technology, the RadarHAWK™ is able to maximize the radar and laser signals alerting the driver accurately and quickly.  With 360 degree total coverage, there are no blind spots.
  • VG-2 undetectable. VG-2 is a radar detection device used by police to detect signals radiated by radar/laser detectors.   The RadarHAWK™ line does not produce emissions detectable by VG-2.
  • Design mounts. Brackets are included for windshield, dashboard, and visor installation.

“The RadarHAWK™ radar/laser detectors are able to optimize on the long-range sensitivity of radar/laser detection technology without giving multiple false readings.  The driver will be provided with quick and reliable alerts to ensure safe and comfortable driving,” said Brian C. Eddy, CEO.

There are two models in the RadarHAWK™ line, the SE and SBIII.  Both devices may be used in any vehicle or motorcycle to keep the driver safe and protected!  The RadarHAWK™ SE model is available at a lower cost for drivers that are interested in radar detectors but do not want to spend a fortune, while the SBIII model uses slightly more sensitive technology and also includes a built-in compass.  Both models are sleek enough to suit the most luxurious driving environments yet small enough to be tucked away inconspicuously.

The RadarHAWK™ SE (MSRP, $89.99) and SBIII (MSRP, $189.99) are available online at www.FusionTank.com and will be released to retail stores starting in 2007.  For more information, visit www.q3i.com.
